Failing to heed deadlines for adding/dropping courses, changing grade status, applying to graduate, etc.
At the beginning of each semester you should check the university’s academic calendar online, and/or the information sheet provided by the graduate coordinator, to learn the various important deadlines for that semester. Although the graduate coordinator will make every effort to alert students of upcoming deadlines, it is ultimately your responsibility to remember those dates.
IMPORTANT : These deadlines are set by the Graduate School and/or Registrar. The instructor of a course or your supervising professor has no authority to supersede these deadlines.
