Dates for Faculty Employment Changes

Effective August 16, 2024, effective dates for faculty employment changes are as follows:

Event	9-month faculty	12-month faculty

Event	9-month faculty	12-month faculty
Hire date	August 16 or January 1	When work begins
Compensation increases (including promotion, merit, retention)	August 16	September 1
Effective dates for promotion title changes	August 16	September 1
Annual contract renewal date for professional-track faculty	August 16 or January 1	September 1
