Other Uses for the Laptop Connection
This wiki describes how you might use the Laptop HDMI connection on the teaching console in Moody College of Communication classrooms to connect things besides a laptop.
You could connect:
Modern Game Consoles | Video Cameras | Tablets & Phones | Analog converters for legacy devices like VCRs and old Game Consoles |
Select Laptop to begin. | |
then choose HDMI w/ Digital Audio. | |
If you are connecting a camera, you will want to MUTE the system to avoid audio feedback and possible system damage. | |
Plug the Laptop cable on the teaching station desk into the output of the camera. | |
Also, avoid death and damage to equipment... | |
...by checking out an HDMI extension cable from equipment checkout HSM 2.102. | |
At this point you should be able to attach the laptop HDMI cable on the teaching station to nearly ANY source that has an HDMI output. Ex: Production Camera, X-BOX, PLAYSTATION, NINTENDO CLASSIC REBOOT, DVD PLAYER FROM DIFFERENT REGION... |
