Interview Questions

Questions:

  1. What do you make?
  2. Getting at process: what do you save/keep? what do you discard? When? Why?
  3. Digital/paper hybrid practices: how much of what you make is digital vs. paper-based?
  4. What is your method of curation or preservation that you, as a faculty or staff member, use to secure your data/work/files (as an example: servers, external hard-drives, printing, CDs, DVDs, etc.)?
  5. What is your expectation of who should be responsible for preservation of your research/work?
  6. Have you applied for research funding that requires the preservation/curation of your research data/files?
  7. What, if anything, do you know about the practices of other people in your department?
