Using the SSH Gateway (SSHG)

The SSH Gateway (SSHD) is a service that allows you to remotely use the ssh protocol to connect to an Engineering system which has an ssh server configured.

• You must have permissions to remote into the computer

• The computer must be powered on and connected to the UT network (wireless is an option)

• The SSH service must be configured on the system and allow connections from the SSHG IP address, 128.83.254.23

• The client system must have the SSH client configured to use the SSHG and have a web browser for logging into the SSHG with two-factor authentication

• The client must connect to the dns name of the system, not the IP address.  If there is no dns name, use the dynamic DNS name '[macaddress].dynamic.utexas.edu' (no colons in the MAC address)
