Grade Disputes
The School of Architecture adheres to the procedures for graduate student grade disputes stated in the Handbook of Operating Procedures. Grade disputes are filed with the department offering the course in question. The decision of the school dean is final for ARC, ARI, CRP, LAR, and UDN courses. SOA Student Affairs staff contacts can provide more information about the grade dispute process.
Minimum Grade
Graduate Students
The minimum grade to count toward a student’s program of work is a C. See the Graduate School’s Grades & Credit information. Some graduate programs may have stricter requirements. Contact the Graduate Program Coordinator with any questions.
Plus-Minus Grading System
Q/F Drops
Graduate students may Q/F drop from the twelfth class day until the last class day. Graduate students may request a Q/F drop form from the Graduate Program Coordinator.
Undergraduate Students
The minimum grade for an ARC, ARI, or CRP course to count toward a student’s degree is a C.
Q-Drop Deadline for Undergraduates
Undergraduate students may Q-drop a course from the twelfth class day until early November for fall or early April for a spring semester. Students may request a Q-drop form from an undergraduate academic advisor.
Academic Advising
All School of Architecture undergraduate students are required to attend academic advising each fall and spring semester before registering for courses for the following semester. The Undergraduate Office is located in SUT 2.126.
