You made it!
- Angella C Thompson
NPL relies on volunteers and student interns to fill a variety of niches. There is so much to do, and so much to learn. You may not always be able to bring a task to completion before being assigned a new task. This is quite normal! NPL has priorities it must meet, and we also try very hard to make sure everyone has a chance to learn new things. Let the Curator know if there is something you are highly motivated to learn, or need experience in. This lab has something for everyone!
We work hard to promote a work environment that is relaxed, effective, and rewarding. If for any reason you find yourself having conflicts with another team member, we are here to help facilitate a resolution.
Welcome to the team- we hope you enjoy your time with us.

ORIENTATION:
You have now finished all of the required reading for NPL orientation. As mentioned earlier in this chapter, everyone does a stint on foam cutting and now it's time to get that taken care of! A staff member or experienced volunteer can help set you up with the supplies you'll be needing.
