AEMS Email Migration
Scheduled for Thursday, June 27, 2013
The note below was emailed to all UT Austin staff members by Chris Giaraffa, project manager for ITS.
You are receiving this email because your mailbox is scheduled to be migrated on Thursday 6/27 from the Austin Exchange Mail Service (AEMS) to Office365.
*What does this mean for you? *You will not see any change in the look and feel of how you access the information contained in your Exchange mailbox or calendaring functions. The changes are occurring in the background on the email processing and storage. Rather than being hosted on-premises, email services and data will now be hosted in the “cloud”. You will find more information on our project page.
Pre-migration action items
In order to make this migration as smooth as possible, please remove any items in your AEMS mailbox larger than 25MB. Instructions can be found under the Before Migration section.
Required Post migration action items
There are a few steps you need to take after you’ve been migrated depending upon how you read your email (which client you use). The post-migration instructions are documented here. Please bookmark this site so that you have access to these instructions.
If you have any questions or experience any issues, please notify your department Technical Support Contacts (TSCs) who are ready to assist. For any additional support questions, you may call the ITS Helpdesk at 512-475-9400.
