How to Install ETC Canon Printers - Windows

In the event that a Windows machine has not received the printer installation automatically, please follow the steps below to manually install the printers using the Mechanical Engineering print server.

**You must be on the UT network (wired or wireless) or connected to the UT VPN if off campus to add this printer and print to it.**

1. Open Windows File Explorer by clicking on the folder icon on the taskbar or right click the Windows Start icon and select "File Explorer".

2. In the address bar at the top of the File Explorer window, type in \\me-print1.austin.utexas.edu\ and press Enter

3. Locate the printers ME-ETC-5226-Canon-1 and ME-ETC-5226-Canon-2 from the list of printers that appear in the folder.

4. Double-click on one printer. After a few moments (up to 30 seconds or so where your computer may seem like nothing is happening), you should get a dialog box similar to the one below. Do the same for the second printer. You can close the pint queue window that opens.

5. Once the installation completes, verify the printers were installed by going to Start and typing "Printers" and then selecting "Printers & scanners"

6. In the Printers & Scanners window you should see the printers installed as ME-ETC-5226-Canon-1 on me-print1.austin.utexas.edu and ME-ETC-5226-Canon-2 on me-print1.austin.utexas.edu
