Scan folder

Access the Scan folder

  1. If you are not on site connect to VPN(vpn.utexas.edu/vpn-uhcs) first

  2. Go to Search bar (1) > type “\\dfs2\scan” (2) (if that does not work you can try typing “\\dfs2.uhs.utexas.edu\Scan”)

    1. TO OPEN: Click on \\dfs2\scan (3) to open the Scan folder >Find your folder (Ex. “UC-MPF02”) >Double-click to open

Create a Scan folder shortcut on your desktop - ATTN providers monitoring the faxes over the holidays

If you are a provider monitoring the faxes over the holidays, this step is recommended for easy access to all Scan fax folders.

  1. If you are not on site connect to VPN(vpn.utexas.edu/vpn-uhcs) first

  2. Go to Search bar > type “\\dfs2” >click Open

  3. Find the Scan folder > Right-click on the folder >click Show more options > Create shortcut

  4. The following Shortcut window will open > Click Yes

Create a shortcut for your department folder(ex. “UC-MPF02”) on your desktop

Click on \\dfs2\scan

to open the Scan folder > Find your folder (Ex. “UC-MPF02”) > Right-click on the folder >Show more options > Send to > Desktop (create shortcut)
