Preceptor Agreement and how-to

I will attend preceptor training.

I will regularly attend class and discussion sections.

I will complete assignments (reading/homework/review) in preparation for weekly meetings and study groups.

I will attend and fully participate in weekly meetings with my supervising professor and/or senior preceptor.

I will inform both my professor and senior preceptor when I or other students have difficulty with the course material.

I will regularly communicate my professor and senior preceptor with both about how the study groups are going.

I will regularly check my email for updates about study groups and will promptly respond to email messages from my senior preceptor.

I will show up to my assigned study groups on time.

I will treat students who attend my study group with courtesy and respect.

I will take accurate attendance at each of my study groups.

I will notify both my senior preceptor and my preceptor partner(s) if I cannot attend a study group and/or switch times with another preceptor if possible.

I understand that I may not know all the answers, nor am I expected to, and I will refer the student to written resources, my professor, or the TA in cases where I cannot answer a question.

I understand that data related to my participation in PLUS may be used for research purposes.

I understand my preceptorship can be terminated either by me or by my supervising professor at any time if I am not fulfilling my preceptor commitments and that termination will not affect my course grade.
