Welcome to the Endpoint Platform Community!

Once you have access to our platform, that is through having completed the onboarding process, you will be added to the Endpoint Platform Management's Community Team. This is a space to discuss all aspects of managing endpoints through these platforms. There are other teams and channels available that are related, however, we felt that none were quite so platform specific. This space is intended to be a technical place for technical discussions and less about policy.

Membership to this team is based on access to the platforms.  If a user is not in one of the groups that grants users access to the consoles of our platforms, users won't be members of this team.  If you have a user that has special circumstances and needs access to the team, submit a ServiceNow ticket to EPM to have them added.

We want to set the tone for this space and have it be a constructive place for learning from each other in order to make UT's unique endpoint management landscape successful.  Please keep in mind when you post that we're in this together!

This team isn't meant to be an untracked support avenue. For staffing and resource planning, please do still submit tickets through ServiceNow with epm-requests@its.utexas.edu, as it helps management during yearly service review to best see the number and types of things being requested of the teams.

All of the Endpoint Platform Management team is there, as is management, for moderation, and answering general functionality questions, but this space is largely for you to commiserate with your IT peers.  We'll post maintenance announcements to the Announcements channel, and we'll discontinue using email as the main way to communicate. There are some channels already available for Configuration Manager and JAMF, one for the 3rd party application management solutions and a 3rd party application publish notice channel.  There is also a learning channel that we are planning on using to post some topics around those high use features so everybody can understand how they work. For example: Software Updates in Configuration Manager. Be on the lookout for that!

Let's make this successful!
