Spotlights - flex area

This section uses two different module types: custom and Articles Anywhere. If what you want to include in this section exists as an article, then follow the Articles Anywhere instructions. If you want to point to a blog listing or events page, use the Custom module instructions.

Articles Anywhere instructions:

By using the name of the article, the plugin is able to pull in the “Intro Image” from the “Images and Links tab”. The title needs to be copied exactly from the article–watch out for accidental extra spaces at the end of the article title. You can change the call to action (Learn More, Keep Reading, etc) to whatever short phrase makes sense for each spotlight. Bold areas are what you will change. The syntax is as follows:

Click on the code tab and you will edit the html that looks something like the code below.

Areas to change and what they do:

This is the URL for the page you want the user to land on. It ensures the image is clickable.

This is the path to the image you want to show (where it lives in the Joomla media manager folder). Always update the alt tag to describe the image.

This is the headline underneath the image.

This is the URL for the page you want the user to land on (the same as the URL at the top). Then include the text that will be the link. You can make this say anything you’d like. Shorter is better.

Updating a YouTube video

Go to the video on YouTube and click on the "share" button
Click on "Embed", then "Copy" the embed code (it will include the entire <iframe> tag and source code)
Back in Joomla, completely replace the existing <iframe> tag with the copied embed code from YouTube
In the "Watch Video" section, replace the link with the URL to the YouTube video

To change the order of the spotlights:

Use the search tools to search for “spotlight”
Change the ordering to “Ordering ascending”
Use the three vertical dots to the left of the module name to drag and drop the order
“Spotlights-intro text” should always be first
