Remote Access

Whether you need to access the PRC Stats Server or a PRC Project Server, you need to have the following requirements.

Requirements for Remote Access

You will need…

• A UT EID, PRC Account, or Project Server Account.
• UT VPN Client – https://vpn.utexas.edu
• UT DUO Account – https://utdirect.utexas.edu/apps/duo/register
• Windows 10 - Remote Desktop Connection App.  The App is built-in to Windows 10
• Mac - Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 App for Mac available from the App Store
• The PRC Stats Server or Project Server Address

Getting Accessing to a Project Server

1. If you do not have a PRC Account or a Project Server Account, please contact your project manager to have them request you an account.
2. If you have a PRC account or a Project Server Account and you don't remember your credentials, please check https://stache.utexas.edu.
3. Make sure you have set up DUO set up.  Access to the Project Servers Requires two-factor authentication using DUO.
4. Make sure you have the UT VPN App installed.  If you are using your personal computer or a PRC-managed desktop, you will need to install the UT VPN App.  PRC-managed laptops have the UT-VPN app installed.
5. Set up a remote connection to the project server.  Refer to the Setting Up a Remote Connection.
