Python is a scripting language. It is installed on the clusters as /share/apps/python (or /share/apps/python-ver for a version specific directory as we usually keep several around). The following modules should also normally be installed

Installation Instructions

• configure --prefix=/share/apps/python-ver
• make test
• make install
• install modules
  • setuptools
  • nose
  • numpy
