General things for the next 4 workdays:

  • Suspension

    • Day 3 

      • Vsusp 

      • Work on the starter project 

      • Walk through resources and research we have already done 

    • Day 4 

      • Daybreak - discussion and info

      • DB control arm redesign - bearing inserts 

        • Research how to machine control arms with c clip groove 

      • CAD that shit 

      • Compile rear trailing arm geometries done previously x unsprung

      • Composite pushrod assembly - put it in your starter project - research ways to do inserts and what type of rod end you should use 

    • Day 5 

      • DB - implement CAD of the control arms w inserts in assembly 

      • Calculate theoretical spring rates for DB and New gen 

      • Make a reference sketch of the rear trailing arm - maybe a few depending on how many potential geoms we have 

      • Continue composite pushrod assembly research and CAD - implement into next gen secondary CAD 

    • Day 6

      • Machine Shop Day teach them terminology

  • Steering

    • Day 3

      • Upper Steering/rack ratios

      • Stuff that broke on Daybreak

    • Day 4

      • U joints/ bevel gearboxes

    • Day 5

      • FEA on rods/steering shafts

    • Day 6

      • Machine Shop Day teach them terminology

  • Unsprung

    • Day 3

      • Walk through parts design analysis 

    • Day 4

      • Make mockup design of parts and start CAD

    • Day 5

      • Finish CAD, and start simulations. 

    • Day 6

      • Machine Shop Day teach them terminology
