Fall 2013 UT Clock Tower
Team
Zach Pitts, Nita Soni, and Brian Thorne
Overview
Our goal is to create a kinematically interesting representation of the UT Tower incorporating multiple Geneva mechanisms and various linkages into a wall-hung clock.
Progress
In our prototyping, we successfully modeled the Geneva mechanisms in SolidWorks and 3D printed a portion of our design, providing proof of concept and allowing us to observe that our designed components meshed well and functioned as expected.

After a second round of brainstorming and designing, we have planned out our desired mechanisms and are currently working on continuing our SolidWorks modeling and then moving on to the second prototype.
