Conclusion and Final Remarks
The kinematic analysis for this mechanism was performed with the assumption that the cam followers would also be vertical with the center of the cam's rotation. This assumption lead to error as can be seen on Bevo's right horn tip. Additionally, this source of error also caused the right side of the face to be slightly different than left half. Regardless, the mechanism produced an easily distinguishable image and could repeat its motion consistently. If we wanted to create a more accurate image, we could have drawn a smaller longhorn. Creating a smaller image would insure that the cam followers and cam's center of rotation remained more vertical.
At the conclusion of this project, we are now able to use our code to generate a new cam profile to draw any continuous curve within our writable region.
