1. Introduction and Background - SV

I chose to model a 6-bar mechanism that mimics a windshield opening and closing, as shown in Figure 1. The mechanism has two sliders, one of which can only move laterally, and another that moves along one of the bars. It has two main ground supports that allow the bars to rotate a full 360 degrees. Overall, the mechanism has one degree of freedom.
