6.3 Kinematic Analysis
Kinematic Analysis
The kinematic analysis closely shows the movement that we expected in our mechanism. Our main objective was to replicate the movement a human does while fishing, this can be seen as a position analysis on the graph to the left, labeled linkage path of motion. The linkage path of motion graph how the mechanism moves. Aside from this, we can see the animation that shows the five bar mechanism in motion. The graphs below, show angular velocity, linear velocity, and acceleration. These graphs and the mechanism as a whole worked out perfectly. We see how the highest acceleration and angular velocity is where our rod is forced out to cast. In other terms, where see the peak velocity and acceleration is when fishing rod is supposed to be at its "throwing" phase. | Animation of Five-Bar Mechanism | |
