8.Conclusion
The technology behind the technology of an automated gas pump or charging station is an interesting one. The idea that this process will be automated is mind bulging at first. But with the opportunity to work on this project we discovered that it is not as difficult as it seems. This project provided us the opportunity first hand to have a feel for this process. Also has mentioned earlier in the body of this report, the design of this prototype was made possible using a combination of different iteration of design by analogy. We looked for designs that could generate the required motion that we needed. And once we were able to decide on this we used the Maker Studio lab to cut the acrylics into the dimensions that we required, and with iterated cuts we were able to get the appropriate dimensions.
In conclusion we learn a lot from this project. We learn how to use laser cutter, 3D printer, machines in machine shop and coding Arduino to create a prototype. We also encountered many problems while building prototype but we managed to solve them. We are happy that we did this project.
