Calendar Editors
Responsibilities of Calendar Editors
Maintaining a calendar of events to fit the department's needs. Â In many cases, a feed of upcoming events is displayed on the home page of each departmental website. Â
Getting Started
If you have been granted Calendar Editing privileges already, you can skip this step. Â If you have not been granted these privileges, please follow the instructions here: Performing an Access Request. Â
Creating an Event
- Log into your department's website
- Under New Content Menu in teal bar at top of screen--choose "New Event"
- Note: If you were recently just granted calendar editing access, you may have to log completely out of the website and back into the system.
- Note: Your menu likely has less items than shown here.
- Fill out the appropriate information
- !IMPORTANT! Ensure that "Categories" and "Events Calendar" are appropriately selected.
- Â and then click "Save and Close".
Editing an Event
- Log into your department's website
- Under New Content Menu in teal bar at top of screen--choose "Manage Calendar Events"
- Note: Your menu likely has less items than shown here.
- Search for the event that you want to edit by using the calendar selector to choose the date that the event is on.
- Click on the title of the event of interest
- Click the "Edit" button on the event details
- A drop-down menu will appear. Â Click "Edit Main Event"
- After event is edited, save and close.
Deleting an Event
Follow the same steps as in "Editing an Event" and in step 7 choose "Delete Event" rather than "Edit Main Event".
