Calendar Editors

Responsibilities of Calendar Editors

Maintaining a calendar of events to fit the department's needs.  In many cases, a feed of upcoming events is displayed on the home page of each departmental website.  

Getting Started

If you have been granted Calendar Editing privileges already, you can skip this step.  If you have not been granted these privileges, please follow the instructions here: Performing an Access Request.  

Creating an Event

  1. Log into your department's website
  2. Under New Content Menu in teal bar at top of screen--choose "New Event"
    1. Note: If you were recently just granted calendar editing access, you may have to log completely out of the website and back into the system.

    2. Note: Your menu likely has less items than shown here.
  3. Fill out the appropriate information
  4. !IMPORTANT! Ensure that "Categories" and "Events Calendar" are appropriately selected.
  5.  and then click "Save and Close".

Editing an Event

  1. Log into your department's website
  2. Under New Content Menu in teal bar at top of screen--choose "Manage Calendar Events"
    1. Note: Your menu likely has less items than shown here.
  3. Search for the event that you want to edit by using the calendar selector to choose the date that the event is on.
  4. Click on the title of the event of interest
  5. Click the "Edit" button on the event details
  6. A drop-down menu will appear.  Click "Edit Main Event"
  7. After event is edited, save and close.

Deleting an Event

Follow the same steps as in "Editing an Event" and in step 7 choose "Delete Event" rather than "Edit Main Event".
