Windows
In order to access the Windows Virtual Environment known as AppD, you must be enrolled in an Engineering course. Â
Linux
In order to use Linux servers and workstations, you must have an ECE Linux account. All ECE undergraduate, graduate students, faculty, visiting faculty, and ECE staff qualify to have an ECE Linux account. All non-ECE students currently enrolled in any ECE course are also eligible for an ECE account. To enable your account, please visit www.ece.utexas.edu/acme
- Please allow 15-20 minutes after a password reset to finalize the process
- If your account has a status of Retired and are enrolled in an EE course, please email help@ece.utexas.edu with a Service Request. Â
Post-Docs, Visiting Researchers, Official Visitors
The applications available on the Linux and Windows environments are reserved for academic and academic research only. Therefore, to qualify for an account, you must be enrolled in a EE course or have the appropriate teaching appointment. All other requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis by ECE-IT staff.
