HUB Report CPRIT

1. Introduction

CPRIT EPA* Reports that are submitted to the United States government on a federal level to account for businesses that are utilized by UT Austin and are considered a “Disadvantaged Business Enterprise.” There are two categories that are reported, Minority Owned Businesses (MBE) and Women Owned Businesses (WBE). According to the EPA Website:

Recipients must complete EPA Form 5700-52A to report MBE/WBE utilization under EPA assistance agreements when the combined total of funds budgeted for procuring supplies, equipment, construction or services exceeds the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. Annual reports are due by October 30th of each year. Final reports are due by October 30th or 90 days after the end of the project period, whichever comes first.

Therefore, it is up to the HUB/SB Program office to assist the Office of Sponsored projects to complete their request so that they may adequately report on MBE/WBE utilization.

2. Requesting Authorization to Submit MBE/WBE Reports

1. Send request to oa.it-hub@austin.utexas.edu
2. Login to HUB Administration Site -  
   
   
   1. Select "Report Submission" 
   
   
   1. Select "MBE/WBE report of expenditures by budget group"
   
   
   1. Enter budget group data  

                                      i. Component - should default to "0' 

                                     ii. Budget Group -  XXXXXXXX (8 digits) 

                                   iii. (Report) Begin Date - MMDDYYYY 

                                   iv. (Report) End Date - MMDDYYYY 

1. 1. Click "Submit" 
2. You will receive an email from CGPBMBW2 Subject "MBE/WBE report available for download" 
3. Go to the download utility at the link provided in the email and download your report 

3. Completing the CPRIT Report

a. Template:

There are instructions on the 2nd tab of the template. 

b. Instructions:

1. Review "MBE/WBE report" summarizing dollars spent with both Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and/or Women Business Enterprise (WBE) vendors  
2. Select Report Quarter 
3. Enter your CPRIT Project/Grant No.  
4. Enter the Person Preparing Report (This should be end user.)
   1. Update the following HUB Form fields:

   1. 1. UB Subcontractor/Vendor Name

      2. Location

      3. TPASS Certification

      4. Federal Tax ID Number

      5. Goods and/or Services Purchased

      6. Amount Expended

5. Send copy of report to Cancer Prevention and Research Institute to the HUB/SB Program office at CPRIT_R.ptajrchltkp2ph7t@u.box.com
