Cazoomi - Data Integration Application

What does Cazoomi Do? 

Cazoomi created SyncApps, an online application that deals with bidirectional data integration. All your business data is synced between key software, without hours of data entry by automating the syncing process. Cazoomi is compatible with many different Sales, Marketing, Support, and Finance software like Salesforce, Constant Contact, mailchimp, eCommerce, and many more. 

How does Cazoomi interact with Constant Contact? 

When performing a sync between Constant Contact and Salesforce using Cazoomi, Cazoomi prompts you to designate a list on Constant Contact that the app will sync to. One important thing to note about the back end of Constant Contact is that there is not a method to create a copy of an email contact for testing. In order to create a sandbox environment, you will need to set up a NEW Constant Contact account and upload the production data there. Our team started out working in what we thought was a sandbox environment, but we were actually modifying production data!  

Problems We Ran Into: 

Our first attempt at running a sync lead to us realizing that Cazoomi was not as simple as portrayed on the website. The initial sync created more bad data than we already had because our client’s data was inconsistent in both their Salesforce and Constant Contact databases. This made it hard to map the different fields in both databases and sync effectively. 

 General Tips: 

• Ensure that no matter which applications that you plan on integrating hold similar, consistent data so that the syncs between software will run smoothly and effectively. 

• Prepare and learn about Cazoomi and all of its features and functionalities. It is best to fully understand the application you are working with before you begin running the program.  

• Always run tests and use developer environments so there is no risk of disturbing a client’s production data. 

• Explore all the options that could solve your client’s problem. Cazoomi may not be the right tool for you. 

• Utilize customer support, sites, and blogs that could help you through processes in your project.
