Example 4.1


Objective: To determine how many employees in your college, school or VP Portfolio are Hispanic and what is their average age, average longevity, and median salary? What are these values for male Hispanics only?


►       In the Race/Ethnicity graph, mouse over the C/S/VP Hispanic bar to identify the number of Hispanics and their percentage of C/S/VP employees.

►       Click the Hispanic bar to select it. Under the Headcount by Age graph, read the average age; under the Headcount by Longevity graph, read the average longevity; under the Headcount by Salary graph, read the median salary.

►       Go to the Gender filter at the top left of the page, click on the drop box down arrow, and click on male. Mouse over the highlighted C/S/VP Hispanic bar to identify the number of male Hispanics and their percentage of C/S/VP employees.

►       Read the agelongevity, and salary values under the respective graphs.

►       Select the Table button in the upper right corner of the page to display tabular values. Note the Gender filter remains on. To view only Hispanic males in your C/S/VP, select the C/S/VP Hispanic value/cell.

►       Print the dashboard if desired.

►       Click the Revert button on the top or bottom of the page to undo the filters.
