Turning Off Bonjour in iChat

The UGS Jabber server makes Bonjour chat redundant by providing a central chat server for all UGS staff. To ensure that you are connecting over the UGS Jabber server, it is not a bad idea to disable Bonjour in iChat:

1. Open the iChat application.
2. On the main menu bar bar at the top of your screen, go under "iChat" to "Preferences."
3. Click on the "Accounts" tab.
4. Click on "Bonjour" under the "Accounts heading on the left side of the screen.
5. Uncheck the box labeled "Enable Bonjour instant messaging."
