Access the Scan folder
If you are not on site connect to VPN(vpn.utexas.edu/vpn-uhcs) first

Make sure you connect to the correct VPN: vpn.utexas.edu/vpn-uhcs not vpn.utexas.edu. |
Go to Search bar (1) > type “\\dfs2\scan” (2) (if that does not work you can try typing “\\dfs2.uhs.utexas.edu\Scan”)
Click on \\dfs2\scan (3) to open the Scan folder >Find your folder (Ex. “UC-MPF02”) >Double-click to open

Locate and right-click on the Scan folder > click Show more options > Create shortcut
The following Shortcut window will open > Click Yes

Create a shortcut for your department folder(ex. “UC-MPF02”)
Click on \\dfs2\scan to open the Scan folder > Find your folder (Ex. “UC-MPF02”) > Right-click on the folder >Show more options > Send to > Desktop (create shortcut)
