Scan folder

Access the Scan folder

  1. If you are not on site connect to VPN (vpn.utexas.edu/vpn-uhcs) first

  2. Go to Search bar (1) > type “\\dfs2\scan” (2) (if that does not work you can try typing “\\dfs2.uhs.utexas.edu\Scan”)

    1. TO OPEN: Click on \\dfs2\scan (3) to open the Scan folder >Find your folder (Ex. “UC-MPF02”) >Double-click to open

Create a Scan folder shortcut on your desktop - ATTN providers monitoring the faxes over the holidays

If you are a provider monitoring the faxes over the holidays, this step is recommended for easy access to all Scan fax folders.

  1. If you are not on site connect to VPN (vpn.utexas.edu/vpn-uhcs) first

  2. Go to Search bar > type “\\dfs2” >click Open

  3. Locate and right-click on the Scan folder > click Show more options > Create shortcut

  4. The following Shortcut window will open > Click Yes

Create a shortcut for your department folder (ex. “UC-MPF02”)

Click on \\dfs2\scan to open the Scan folder > Find your folder (Ex. “UC-MPF02”) > Right-click on the folder >Show more options > Send to > Desktop (create shortcut)

PNC Fax Inbox

The Fax Inbox allows you to receive faxes and attach them to patients. The documents you see in the Fax Inbox have not yet been attached to a patient/client in PNC.

To view the Fax Inbox, navigate to PncChart (1) > Facility tab (2) > Fax Inbox (3)
