The space committee is responsiblefor allocation of research space to faculty based on a hierarchy of: a) extramurally funded projects, b) intramurally funded projects/tenure-track facultyat assistant rank, and c) intramurally funded projectsfortenured faculty. The merit review committee is responsible for the annual review of all Tenure Track faculty, and also recommends assignments based on workload policy. The annual reviews of Tenure Track faculty inform theChair’s salary raise recommendations. This committee consists of threemembers of theExtended Budget Council elected by the faculty to three year terms, including at least one full professor.

The strategic planning committee is responsible for working with the Department Chair to develop long range plans for development, faculty hiring, and program goals as well as evaluations of success in reaching those goals. This committee consists of three Extended Budget Council members, elected by the faculty to three year terms.
