Debby Jacobvitz Fatima Varner Stephen Russell (ex-officio for school) | The space committee is responsible for allocation of research space to faculty based on a hierarchy of: a) extramurally funded projects, b) intramurally funded projects/tenure-track faculty at assistant rank, and c) intramurally funded projects for tenured faculty. This committee consists of three Extended Budget Council members, elected by the faculty to three year terms. | |
Merit Review Committee | Karen Fingerman * aprile benner Fatima Varner | The merit review committee is responsible for the annual review of all Tenure Track faculty, and also recommends assignments based on workload policy. The annual reviews of Tenure Track faculty inform the Chair’s salary raise recommendations. This committee consists of three members of the Extended Budget Council elected by the faculty to three year terms, including at least one full professor. |
Faculty Governance and Strategic Planning | Amy Bryan * Jeff Lockman Space Committee Chair (Fall: Lisa Neff; Spring: Sae Han) | The strategic planning committee is responsible for working with the Department Chair to develop long range plans for development, faculty hiring, and program goals as well as evaluations of success in reaching those goals.
