Toubleshooting Office 365 Email Client Issues

 

  1. I get the following errors when trying to set up my Outlook profile:

    "An encrypted connection to your mail server is not available."
    "The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable."

    Try resetting up your profile but be sure to leave the password field BLANK on the initial profile configuration page.

    If you still receive errors setting up your profile using the autoconfiguration process, try to set it up using the manual configuration process described at Manually Configuring Outlook 2010/2013 for Windows with an Office 365 McCombs Mailbox.

     

  2. I keep getting prompted for my password when I try to open a shared folder, or I can open it but I see no new items. 
  3. I often change the From field to send as different email addresses, and I noticed the default display name in the From field is incorrect.
