Introduction!

This mech warrior that I found has a very interesting combination of movement:   The robot main body has a rocking rotating motion and the legs move back and forth in an almost linear way. 

As this has some interesting combination of links which I found non-intuitive at the beginning by simply looking at the images, I decided to try to build the mechanism part in order to understand what's causing that motion.

The purpose of this whole mechanism is to make a motion that resembles to walking for a robot toy.  Therefore, the important analysis come mainly from position and speed. 

In my report I will include:  

  • How each part of the design contributes the motion qualitatively
  • Analysis of the motion of the robot main body: Position + Velocity Analysis
  • Analysis of the motion of the legs:  Position + Velocity analysis.
