Seating Chart Option

Quest will generate a randomly ordered seating chart list you can use to place students when taking an exam. This feature is only offered when prebind (also known as 'early bind') is selected for the (bubblesheet) exam. Overview of how to access this immediately below, with step by step instructions following.

Finding Seating Chart

Published bubble sheet assignment, prebound set→Print (left side bar)→Print Bubblesheets→Seating Chart.

1) Within the assignment, check 'bubble sheets will be pre-printed with student's EID'

2) Publish the assignment.

3) Print (on the left side bar)

4) Click on the 'Print Bubble Sheets' button, as highlighted above. When 'PreBind' was selected in the assignment settings, you will see a seating chart box. Clicking it will generate a randomly arranged list you can arrange the students by in your classroom. Please note the seating chart is FERPA protected, and any printouts should be shredded once their utility has expired.

Troubleshooting:

If you get to this last page and don't see the seating chart option, the pre-bind option was likely not selected in the settings of the assignment.  Since it has already been published at this point, it can not be changed. However, you can make a dummy bubble sheet assignment in your class to get a random seating chart generated with those on your roster. Once the seating chart has served its function, the dummy assignment can be deleted. Students will be able to see this dummy assignment because it is published, so consider putting the accessible date after the semester has closed so students don't accidently view it.
