Resetting an assignment (for individual student, class)
Some (usually high school) instructors will want to wipe clean a student's assignment and give them a second shot, functionally resetting the submissions for a student. Notice that no history of the current entries will be retained if this action is taken, and instructors are expected to provide all relevant information per link above.
Once you have the assignment and eid of the student(s) to reset, navigate to the institutional admin page, enter into the relevant bucket (usually
External High Schools). Enter in assignment id,
navigate to the Instances (main) tab,
and scroll to the bottom to invalidate a single student's response. Push invalidate button to wipe clean.
If the assignment has closed in the past let the teacher know they will now need to offer a late submit. Masq as the student and make sure the assignment is accessible (unless it's a timed assignment, then don't open it as it will start their timer).
