Shipping and Packing Lists

Crate records within TMS are only used for the print room storage system, and for managing temporary projects facilitating framing and housing projects. 

Component records are created at the object level to coordinate packing for shipping. 

Steps

Create a new component for each object in one crate or packing container. 

  1. Navigate to object
  2. Expand Components list in Record Hierarchy
  3. Click action button (blue arrow) to add new component
  4. Component Number: standard convention for object number with suffix  HSG.#
    1. X2024.AA.1.HSG.1
  5. Component Name holds the crate or container #
    1. this should match for all objects packed together

Reporting, Packing Lists, Crate Lists

  • Packing List: checklist sorted by user preference (Object number, Artist, Title, etc)
  • Packing by Crate: groups checklist first by Crate/Container (the Component Name), then by user preference
