Austin ISD Placement Information

AISD cooperating teacher recruitment begins.

• UT Coordinators supply teachers in Austin ISD with AISD's Cooperating Teacher Interest Form - Spring 2025. There is no longer a separate CT Agreement form for UT-AISD placements. (Please remind all CTs you recruit to indicate on the form that they want to work with you.)

• For campuses where the coordinator has no prior relationship, reach out to the principal for guidance. If a relationship is already in place, you may contact teachers directly. It is recommended to let principals know you are recruiting at their campus.

• Send a list of the CTs that you are recruiting to jenny.carney@austin.utexas.edu using the placement spreadsheet form located on Wiki and these names will be added to the CT tracking document located on UT Box to identify them as the CTs that you are recruiting. As CT interest forms are received, the CT tracking document will be updated.

All CT interest forms are due to AISD by October 28th.

• Coordinators can monitor the receipt of AISD’s Interest Forms using the CT tracking document on UT Box to ensure the deadline is met. Receiving a CT Interest Form confirmation does not guarantee that you will partner with this CT next semester. (At this stage it does not have principal approval.)

• Jenny to monitor tracking document for unassigned CTs and any issues.

Principal Approvals

• As CTs are approved by the principals, the coordinators will see this information updated on the CT tracking document on UT Box.
• Coordinators are to work on their placement spreadsheet.
