Placement Procedures and Submission Form

Submission of Placements to the Education Services Office

Coordinators are to download a blank placement spreadsheet each semester using the link below.  This form is to be used for identifying all placements, and it contains columns for all required information.  It includes columns for start/end dates as well as for the names of field supervisors.  This information may not be known until the beginning of the semester.  It can be added to the form once it has been determined.   Additionally, a separate line should be used for each student.  That is, even if the same  CT is working with two students, their placements need to be listed on separate lines.  

When the recruitment period begins each semester, the names of all CTs being asked to mentor students should be entered on the spreadsheet by the coordinator. Actual student placements and field supervisors’ names should be added as that information becomes available.

Throughout the teacher recruitment/placement period, when making placement updates and changes, coordinators are to highlight the change on the spreadsheet and email the revised spreadsheet to Jenny Carney at:  Jenny.Carney@austin.utexas.edu.  All spreadsheets received will be kept in individual cohort folders.  Coordinators will be given access to a PDF document that will be kept in a Box folder that will show which CTs they have indicated they are recruiting, which ones have submitted their agreement forms, and which ones have received principal approval.  The PDF will be updated CT Interest forms are received and CTs are approved  so Coordinators will know throughout the semester whose forms we’re still missing.
