Cadence
Having difficulties checking out a license for Cadence/Virtuoso?
There are between 1000-3000 licenses for each Cadence tool. The issue may not be that licenses have all been checked out. There are some issues with some of the other tools - but not Cadence.
The issue could be caused by all the lock file options that have been used up.
Note:Â DO NOT 'X' out of a Cadence session. Use the File->Dropdown menu to quit a session
To fix it once all the locks are used:
find . -type f | grep cdslck
and delete everything it lists.
