Install Office on a personal device

Install Office on a Desktop or Laptop

  1. Open a web browser, such as: Edge, Chrome or Firefox.
     
     
  2. Go to Outlook Web Access by typing in the following in your address bar  https://www.outlook.com/utexas.edu
     
     
  3. Log in using your UT EID and password

     
  4. Click on Office 365 near the top left of the web page

     
  5. Click on Install Office 2016 and follow the prompts.

 

Depending on your browser, you may need to first save the file before running it. It's a small file and should download quickly. Run the file you downloaded. It will install Microsoft Office, be sure to remain connected to the internet until it is fully installed.

Install Office on an iPhone or iPad

Go to the app store and search for the office app you are looking for. Alternatively click on the links below directly from your iPad or iPhone.

Microsoft Word

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft PowerPoint

Faculty or Staff can log into the Microsoft Apps using your "@law.utexas.edu" email address.

Because you already have an Office365 account from UT you do not need to pay for a subscription.
