Configuring the UT VPN Client
A Phone with the DUO App is required to use the UT VPN client.
If you are on a PRC-managed desktop, please email help@prc.utexas.edu to install the UT VPN client. PRC-managed laptops already have the UT VPN client installed.
If you are a new user, please submit a ticket request to help@prc.utexas.edu to be added to the server prior to your first connection attempt.
- Locate the VPN Client icon and connect to the UT VPN.
- When VPN starts for the first time it will ask for the VPN server name. Type in vpn.utexas.edu. Append the appropriate private group. Click connect. (ex. vpn.utexas.edu/vpn-prccoach)

- vpn-russell
- vpn-yeager
- prc
- Next, type in your EID credentials in the UTexas portal. If you need to access a specific service or server, enter your EID username.
- UT EID: YourEID
- Password: Enter your EID password.
4. Duo Passcode: Type the verification code on your device to approve the connection.
5. The VPN will connect successfully.
