Setting up Canon Scanner

Instructions for setting up Scanner and Scanning Software.
Do not connect scanner to your computer until completing steps 1-3.

Find the product on Canon’s website and navigate to the Software and Drivers page for the scanner.
Select your current OS version to find the recommended driver to install.
Find your OS version by clicking the Apple icon in the upper left corner of your display, and select “About this Mac”
Once the download is complete, open the installer from your downloads folder and follow the instructions in the Installer widget.
Next, from the same Canon webpage, Software and Drivers, download the scanning software “Capture on Touch (for Mac).”
Again, open the installer from your downloads and follow the instructions in the Installer widget.
Connect scanner USB to your computer.
Contact LAITS for assistance installing drivers and software if you do not have an admin account for your workstation to manage software installation. Provide them with your scanner model number.

Open Capture on Touch (take a moment to add the shortcut to your dock if you prefer)
