How to Install Netfabb
Autodesk Netfabb is available to students under an educational license. This PC-only software is used for repairing STL models before 3D printing.
Step-by-step guide
Log into your free Autodesk educational account
If you don't already have an account, you must create one
You may need to set up an authentication app – DUO can be used for this purpose
Navigate to Netfabb Premium
Click "Get license"
The serial information will be e-mailed to you
Download the installer
Launch the installer
Check "I agree" & Click "Next"
Click "Install"
Click "Start"
Click "I Agree"
Click "Activate"
Enter your serial number (this was e-mailed to you from Autodesk earlier in the process)
Click "Next"
Sign into your Autodesk account
Use DUO to generate a key for Autodesk
Click "Finish"
We recommend unchecking the two boxes here
