The EPM team has deployed a Deferral payload to all machines to stop macOS from prompting end users to upgrade their machines for 90 days. This payload was intended to
- For sites that want to ensure end users do not upgrade macOS they can create stronger restrictions to block its installation.
Please be advised we have had reports of Cisco AnyConnect/ Secure Connecter not working correctly on macOS 15
For admins, or any other parties that would like to upgrade to macOS Sequoia for testing, or any other reason we have enabled an Extension Attribute in Jamf Pro to allow a machine to upgrade to macOS Sonoma now.
Within Jamf Pro navigate to the machine you would like to upgrade on. Within the "Operating System" tab on the left you will see the new Extension Attribute for "Allow macOS upgrade (Sequoia)"
-By default this value is blank. Editing the inventory record and changing this status to "YES" will exclude this machine from the restriction.
Once the machine has been set to "YES" you can upgrade the machine using any method to macOS Sequoia.
