Welcome to Jamf - Service Overview

The ITLC EPM Committee selected Jamf Pro as the tool of choice to provide centralized management of Apple endpoint devices. 

If you have yet to onboard to EPM, please start with our Getting Started and Onboarding documents. We continue developing the environment and documentation as new features are added and improved. If you have any questions about joining Jamf or any feature, please reach out to the team at epm-requests@its.utexas.edu

 

The EPM team has the following policies and features in both production and the sandbox:

  • Mac OS update policies 

  • Firewall settings 

  • Core, centrally supported applications available in self-service

  • Ability to manage and deploy any CSU-specific apps

  • Ability to escrow FileVault keys

  • Nessus, Code42, and Defender are available in line with ISO policies

  • Naming conventions for devices, CSU's and ASM

  • Screensaver and AUP policies 

  • Jamf Connect

  • Device Enrollment process

  • Config Profiles and Policies for iOS management

  • Inventory Reporting for ISORA

Printers, packages, scripts, and dock items are all seen as Global settings in Jamf Pro. To make changes ensure you are viewing Jamf Pro in the "Full Jamf Pro" site option. These are not viewable within individual site views.
