eMuseum Exhibition Content
Exhibitions shown at the Blanton are made available on eMuseum. These records are marked as “Public Information” making them accessible to the eMuseum portal. The registrar or database manager will mark the record as public information the Friday prior to weekend openings so that it will go online in the overnight refresh for eMuseum. The following fields are required for an exhibition record to be made public.
Displayed at Blanton: checked Yes
Web Blurb: Copy boiler text from exhibition calendar into this field. There is no text formatting, review text for italics requiring quotation marks or other necessary revisions. All organization and sponsor credits should be added to the end of this text.
Cover Image Thumbnail: Before the exhibition is installed, use the same leading press image as on our main website. If this image is already in TMS linked to an object record, click to add a media record to the exhibition record, use Look Up button to open a search widget to locate the existing object image in TMS. Once linked, open the media record and check yes for Public Access. Add citation and image rights to the Public Caption field.
Text Entry (Gallery Text): Add two text entries with section panel texts, with text type “Gallery Text.” One for English and the second for Spanish translation. Select language ENGLISH or SPANISH as appropriate. This is a filtered condition on eMuseum and without the language selection, it will not be synced to eMuseum.
Text entries are set up for rich text formatting and will hold italics and other type formats. Use “Paste and Match Style” when pasting into the text entry field to remove any special fonts so that they will appear on eMuseum in standard font.
All panel texts for a show should be entered within one text entry with the following formatting standards:
Introduction (bold and underline)
[one line space]
Introduction text paragraph.
[two line spaces]
Section Title (bold and underline)
[one line space]
Section text paragraph.
[two line spaces]
(format continued…)
