Right click on the AVID Media Composer icon and choose "Troubleshoot compatibility" | |

Choose "Troubleshoot Program" | |
Click the Checkbox for "The Program Requires Additional Permissions," then click "Next" | |
Click on the box "Test the Program" | |
On the Menu bar, click on the flashing icon of the Shield. | |
Click on the "Yes" button to allow this app to make changes to your device. | |
After a few seconds, Media Composer will begin to launch properly. Back the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter dialog box, click on "Yes, save these settings for this program." | |
The Program Compatibility Troubleshooter dialog box will save the settings and Media Composer will continue to launch. | |
