Additional Opportunities and Benefits
- Staff Education Benefit. The SEB can apply to up to three credit hours of coursework each semester. You must be employed full time by the university, have worked for 12 continuous months, and be admitted to the university as a student before you are eligible for this benefit. Find out more here. Â
- UT Employee Discounts. Many businesses around Austin offer discounts to UT employees. Check out the Employee Discount Program web site to learn about participating businesses. UT Athletics also occasionally offers discounted tickets to sporting events. Information will be sent by email when those offers are valid.
- Free Bus Fare on Capital Metro. Save the money you’d spend on your campus parking pass by riding city busses for free. Plan your commute here.Â
- Faculty & Staff Dine-In Dollars.  A meal plan operated by the Division of Housing and Food Service. You may choose the amount of money you wish to deposit. Then each time you swipe your UT ID card to make a purchase you will receive a 10% discount on food or beverage purchases and your balance will decrease in the amount of the purchase. For more information, go here. Â
- RecSports Membership. Benefits include access to all University of Texas at Austin recreation facilities, access to faculty/staff locker and weight rooms, access to informal recreation equipment checkout, eligibility to purchase a membership for one other adult and dependent children (age 15 and under). Go here for more details.Â
