Research/testing Update

3 wheel or 4 wheel

• 3 Wheel is better but the only concern is tipping

Design Architecture Options

For a 3 wheel car:

Driver and battery position

• Driver in the middle/front - battery box is behind the driver

  • advantageous since driver contributes the most mass

• Driver is in the middle/rear - battery box is in the front or sides of driver

  • on sides of driver will increase width

Aeroshell - find optimal shell profiles (front and side) for the above options

• Seat bottom shell into top shell

Dynamics

• Front double wishbone suspension

  • external or internal

    • for internal suspension - top control arm mounted on top of frame

  • determine lengths of wishbones and ideal suspension travel

• Rear suspension

  • Trailing arm (with two arms/one shock)
