2024-09-14 Mechanical Workday Meeting

Action items:

• Come up with a rough idea of what your trial workday will look like (including a tentative schedule, material needs, and space needs) - by Monday’s mechanical meeting (9/16 @ 8pm)

• Look into how to determine wheelbase, track width, and CG location (height and longitudinal location) - by beginning of workday on Saturday (9/21)

• Come up with different architecture ideas/designs and determining pros and cons for each as well as dependencies between different systems - by Sunday (9/22)

It will be difficult to decide upon an official architecture for the car before SRR because of inter-system dependencies (e.g. driver location impacts the canopy location as well as battery box location). To remedy this, come up with different architectures and try to narrow down to a few options before SRR. Then, during SRR, present these options, the pros and cons, and how they affect the different systems. Once these have all been presented, you can make a more informed decision post-SRR.

SRR Presentation Format

• Hidden slides (such as the sub-system requirements slide), are there for the presenter’s reference, not for the audience to view. You can either use this or omit it

• For the architecture selection slide, just list the possible options and their descriptions
